Reminisce

Isn't it wonderful how after however many years it's been since we last had a long conversation we can still have another?

I think that's become what I'm most fond of about you. You and I always had some sort of special connection. My relationship with you is different than my relationship with anyone else. When we get together we sometimes talk about things that happened five or ten years ago. Other times we discuss politics, religion, or our favorite colors.

I am glad that our topics of conversation are sometimes irreverent, sometimes serious, and often hilarious. I am glad we enjoy each other's company.

Sure there are moments when we don't quite know what to say next or there is a small, awkward blip of silence, but it doesn't matter much. We were always good at sitting quietly and just enjoying each other's company. Or at least now we are.

I'm glad about these things.
