About shop@fatDOGThe where's and why's of this online consortium. What's the Deal? There's really no deal. It's just fun to make products that are somewhat humorous (and if not humorous themselves, hilariously described). So since I can actually sell this stuff, I do.. in the hopes that thousands of people will each buy millions of products because they love me and I will be swimming in money. But I'm not ripping you off. Not at all. So You Make Money? In a word: yes. I offer my products through a service called CafePress, which allows me to create designs for products and sell them at whatever rate I feel is justified. Each time you buy something from me (a shirt, let's say).. I buy that shirt from the CafePress folks, who print my design on the shirt for you. Then I sell that shirt to you at a slight markup. The average markup for things in the fatDOG product line is officially $0.37 as of the writing of this page. That's not a bad deal! And you can still get a shirt with fatDOG insignia on it for a ridiculously low price (considering the cost of most custom shirts). Fifteen bucks or so? Not bad. How Do I Buy Stuff? It's really simple. Scan the collection using the links to the left. You can preview the things you're buying and read their descriptions. If you want more information about fabric quality or a better look at the pictures, you can click on the "More Info" link, which will let you add an item to your shopping cart. It's real easy and pretty damn fun... So buy my stuff! ~ Colin McCloskey, May 2002
