Linking to fatDOG

The ins and outs of sending us your traffic.

Why You Should Link

Actually, you can link to me for whatever reason you want. Pop a link into your Instant Messenger profile, slide one into your own website, whatever! I always appreciate traffic from... basically anywhere.

How to Go About It

It's easy. Just make sure you are linking to the proper place. The main address for my website is below:

http://www.thosekids.org/fatdog

I would prefer you link to that page, because it will properly display my splash page and will introduce the page in its own interesting way. But if you must jump right to the good stuff and show the most recent article, here's how you'd do that:

http://www.thosekids.org/fatdog/journal/

Now your visitors will go right to the most recent article.

Linking to Specific Articles

Sometimes you might even want to link to a specific article. This is trickier, but not bad at all to pull off. I figure you've got a webpage yourself, so you should be somewhat accustomed to this stuff.

The bottom of every article has four colored squares to the right. CLICK the green box, which is labeled "Lk" ("Grab the absolute link or jump back to the article").

Your browser will reload what looks like exactly the same page, except for one major difference you have to check for: Look in the address bar to see the address of the page. This is the address that specific article will forever be stored in. These normally look like this:

http://www.thosekids.org/fatdog/journal/journal_view.asp?Num=XXX

The official number of the article you want to link to will replace the XXX. Copy this address out of your browser and use that to link.

Thanks for your traffic!
